At the Indra Musikclub in Hamburg Germany

This is where it all started for The Beatles.  There is to much for me to write about it here so Google

It was fun to be at the same spot where the band played so many years ago.  And to think that they walked the same street i just did.  I don't remember what year it was, but I do remember watching The Beatles on the Ed Sulivan Show on a black & white TV.

This area of Hamburg is in a "bar" area.  The street is lined with different clubs.

I wonder how that really worked back then?  An English singing band in a German speaking town.  Did the kids just drink enough to enjoy the rhythm and didn't care about the lyrics?  The Beatles weren't popular at that time to draw a crowd.

Well i made it to Hamburg.  Everything was going good until i went to get my rental car.  No car!  Seems the windshield got broke and no extra cars.

Well after negotiating between 2 rental companies I got a deal put together.  I definitely wanted something with navigation in it.

Stayed at the Hotel Wagner im Dammtorpalais.  I wanted an old hotel with character and it has it.

Walked the streets last night and found a nice little restaurant for dinner.  A baked potato place with all the toppings you can imagine.  That's all they make there.

Breakfast was great sat by the window overlooking a small park.
